Sometimes the most effective solutions are the simplest ones. Sometimes, though, people need space to find those solutions. Imagine spending an entire day dedicated to focusing on the worries and concerns you have at work with a particular colleague. It's tiring. It's upsetting. It's even hurtful. However, the high level of focus which mediation brings will enable you to look at every angle, focus on the detail, listen to what the other person is saying and, by the end of the process, find a solution. And that solution may be so simple and so obvious that you leave at the end of the day wondering why you didn't think of it earlier. Why didn't you? Because you're busy. You have other things to think about as well. You don't have time in your day to day work to really pick apart what's been going on. Mediation allows you to delve deep and realise what really matters. It's when you have that realisation that you find the energy to achieve a resolution.
